20/07/2004 - Play Time icon set released!

You might already have heard this on other pages, because I was unable to write a news post until now.

Anyway, the icon set that I’ve been working on is finally complete and ready for download! It contains 12 high quality icons and 10 of them have drop states as well. The theme for the icon set is console gaming and I’ve made the Xbox, GameCube and PlayStation 2 in a bunch of colors, as well as two game heroes; Samus Aran from Metroid and Masterchief from HALO.

Dave Brasgalla quality, full of detail, awesome execution. The open states are a stroke of genius, and commonly overlooked.

Yeah, this was he set I was making for (or at rather) the Iconfacory. They thought me a lot about angles and texture, I couldn’t have done it this good without their help.

Awesome detail, great job Max. Ozzpot, what does Open state mean?

The Open state is when you have the icon applied to a folder and drag something to that folder. It will then display an open state. In the case of my icons the consoles will pop their dvd drives open.

Have you thought about expanding it to include other consoles (N64, SNES, Dreamcast, Playstation, Genesis, NES, Atari 2600, Colecovision, Intelivision, etc.)?

I work at the local food store at the butcher’s counter, selling grilled chickens, fish, hams etc. It’s a lot more fun than it might sounds and I’m happy to be doing something!
I’m getting closer to taking a driving license as well. I’ve passed the theory test, and I have a time booked at the skid course where I’ll learn to handle the car on slippery surfaces.. and I’m now taking driving lessons in the city, trying to learn to see all the signs.
