I talked with Paul on iChat recently and we agreed that he should let you know all what’s going on with NickelCobalt. So here is the latest news which Paul posted in the forums and which I’m quoting:
NC UPDATE!
Sorry for my continued lack of communication regarding progress on the Nickel Cobalt theme. I don’t know if excuses make things better or worse, but at least there’s an end in sight.
Yesterday Kellie and I closed on a house. We’re stoked, but it’s been a HUGE ordeal. I mean, things have progressed smoothly, but it’s such an amazingly time-consuming and complex process to buy a house. Finding one was challenge enough to begin with, but now after about a month since finding the house, it seems that everything is finally going through. In 10 days the movers will arrive and we’ll make the four-hour move to our new residence. Then we’ll move in, clean, paint, fix the things that need fixing, etc.
How does this affect NC? Well, for the last several years I’ve been working from home full-time for an out-of state graphic design firm. We’re moving back into the town where the business is based, which means I’ll be working in the office again. I’ll miss the flexibility of working from home, but the positive side is that I’ll actually be working 8-hour days and having weekends and evenings like a normal person again. Which means (… wait for it …) more time for fun things like (… wait … for … it …) theming! YAY!
Thanks to everyone for the patience and continued interest in NC. I won’t let it die, I promise. Max and I are well into it and all that is needed is a few decent blocks of solid time from me and we’ll be back on-track.
Wish me luck packing, moving, painting, unpacking, etc. Look for more NC news in a month or so. I don’t want it to be that long, but I should try to be reasonable and give myself a couple weeks to get settled before expecting to see any fun time.
