13/01/2005 - Minor updates for Milk and Aluminum Alloy

Milk 2.5.1 [5,8 MB]
- Made the LCDs in Calculator, VLC and iTunes a light blue. QuickTime is unaffected because it’s color is hard coded.
- Fixed a glitch with the + and - buttons in the iTunes advanced playlist dialog.
- Changed the Chocolate Apple menu a bit.

Aluminum Alloy 1.6.1 [10,1 MB]
- Fixed the active list selection colors for all variations.

For those of you who are having problems with the guiKit:// links not opening in ShapeShifter, you can manually control click the link and copy and paste it in your address field. Remove the “guiKit://” part at the beginning and then hit alt-enter to start downloading.

i wonder if you’d take a comment on the milk theme:
i’ve been using milk probably since you released it, whenever that was. when unsanity came out with the guikit unpacking app, i made a few mods. one was making the menus darker and more transparent, as you did in this later version. i made the progress bars black instead, cause i couldn’t see the white ones (especially when a dock item like toast would have a bar). the last one is really minor, but i changed the apple meny to the old system 7 apple … ah nostalgia. i’d also wanted to square off the top corners of the windows, but i never got around to it.

and, you ask, why am i writing this? well, for some reason the guikit app doesn’t unpack this new version, which would be nice to use, since itunes now is not in brushed metal. so, i’m writing to see if you’re interested in seeing the mods i made.

You need to rewrap Milk for OS X v. 10.3.8 - the iLife apps won’t keep the skin anymore!
