07/05/2005 - Aluminum Alloy ready for Tiger

Aluminum Alloy 1.7
- Updated for Tiger, many minor fixes.
- Themes Spotlight menu.
- New LCD for Calculator, VLC and iTunes.
- Includes new appSkin for Mail.
- Added Print toolbar button to the Safari appSkin.
- Updated iCal appskin to include new Metal button glyphs.

Hope you enjoy this, I’m pretty sure there are no bugs. Please note that the appSkins for QuickTime and Address Book are incomplete, I will need to wait for a ThemePark update to be able to theme them.

I’ve got updates to Aqua Extreme and SmoothStripes coming out soon. For starters they will only be available in guiKit format, but I intend to make them available as package installers. I’ve rationed the number of variations to make it easier for me to maintain, so don’t be too upset if your favorite variation is not included. I hope you will enjoy them anyway.

Been a user of Aluminum Alloy since the beginning.
I’d love to use it with Tiger but the link doesn’t seem to be recognized by either Safari nor Camino.

Ifmy - I’ll get around to Milk, but it’ll be a while.

Fonzie - Lately i’ve been using the Milk blue chocolate, but my favorite AA variation is Volcanic.

Sinn Le May - I know, there is something odd going on with the coding, links don’t work until they get pushed further down the page.. Navigate using the top menu to Themes/Aluminum Alloy instead.

Since I’m new at this I have a simple question that you or anyone who knows can answer: how do select different variations? So far I’ve been using the default (?) blue, but would love to try different ones.

When you’re in ShapeShifter, click on the little arrow to the left of the name “Aluminum Alloy 1.7″ then pick the variation you like

Speaking of variations, are there any plans to make more color themes? I love all the colors available now but it would be great if we had even more choices Perhaps red or purple?

Though AA is nice.

I removed the Mail buttons cause that design goes against their won GUI guidelines and I much prefer it without buttons and the older icons.
No more color variations are planned right now, sorry.
Rhapsodized is not forgotten, it’s just my lack of time that’s keeping me from it.

I had just installed Tiger and was gathering the extra stuff.

Was hoping you have plans to update EYLO, as well! I’ve used that theme for quite sometime, and while it still seems to operate okay under Tiger, there are a few bugs and other fixes that could be panned out. Hope that wouldnt add too much to your plate!
