22/05/2005 - Milk available for Tiger!

After five hours of repetitive updating, Milk is ready for Tiger.
These are the changes:
- Updated for Tiger.
- Themes Spotlight menu.
- Includes new appSkin for Mail.
- Added Print toolbar button to the Safari appSkin.
- Updated iCal appskin to include new Metal button glyphs.
- Changed the look of the Help Button.
- Removed iconset.

Use the top navigation and go to Themes/Milk to download.

Some people have been requesting Milk as a package installer, but I’m afraid that will not happen. Milk is heavily dependent on appSkins to give the system a complete look and it would be too hard to make a installer for it.

I was also waiting for a package installer for Milk, but if it’s impossible then… I recently got ride of ShapeShifter since i’ts really slow with Tiger (due to the compatibility hack that was added to it)
But, again, i love Milk and i’m getting sicker and sicker of aqua.

I’m agree with Pierre, ShapeShifter is really slow with Tiger.
I feel i’ll stay with SmoothStripes until someone find a way to apply a theme without slowing down the OS.

This is by far my favorite theme, but using Shapeshifter really sucks. Is an installer just like Smooth Stripes’ feasible?

Awesome, I love milk…been using it since shapeshifter was released.

Any chance that you could get rid of those ugly mail buttons though?

Thanks Max for this great theme - allthough probably better looking on the i-line it also looks very good on my PowerBook.
Of course there’s this “but”: Tiger now features unified toolbars and Milk does not seem to support them (yet, or at least not in a “milkified” way) - are you going to support that?

I thought it was the best theme but now it milk seem too lack the setailed perfection and applicaion skins used in themes such as kamino ana niqu ro give the whole gui experience some consistency. It’s really the most usable theme it’s a shame please keep up the great work

Serious bug with your theme “milk 3.0″ and Reason 3, i have disable the theme for this app, but if you can see for it that would be great.
An another thing, the iTunes Eq looks ugly if the theme is applied.

is it possible to mod the Spotlight icon in the Mac OsX Menu bar ?
to turn it in black for exemple with the chocolate milk/silver theme…(i love this theme )

love milk, hate the mail buttons - and cage fighter makes no difference with milk installed

its your call, but plenty of people hate the new mail buttons!

for now I’ll be excluding mail from being milk-ified

also, the menu bar items like the clock and battery percentage dont get milk-ified and look hideous

the forward page button in safari seems messed up. it goes back to the aqua button occasionally when i click the back page button.

This is the only theme besides Aqua that i can use.

It’s just so beautiful.

I have been using your Milk theme so much on every computer I have that Tiger just didn’t seem right without it. Thanks for the update.

When I try to apply this theme in Shapeshifter, it doesn’t work. Nor do any other themes. I installed Shapeshifter for all users, and did everything it asks when i first installed it, but nothing works. Can someone help me?

I’m kinda of regretting switching to tiger since I can’t use Milk anymore. the interface is a mess of mismatched styles. please reconsider making an installer package for Milk, I would pay $20 for it. I’m using Smooth Stripes which would be ok if I could get rid of the blue and fix Mail. I just want a cohesive theme (not ShapeShifter) with no blue! it seems to be impossible.

I think Milk a very nice theme. Unfortunately, it has a small bug inside. The bug is on When you use Microsoft Word 2004 and apply the Milk theme. You will not be able to see the fonts If you choose the “font menu” and want to change the fonts of you file. Hope the author will be able to check that. Thanks.
