Hi Max, please forget AE and SS. They are not really attractive because they looked almost no different with the default Tiger theme. Rather that, please spend your great effort on Milk, AA and BBX Mercury only. I will be thousand appreciate that.
Hello Max! Excellent work!! I’ve been waiting for this a lot of time.
I have only a question : Is it possible to theme Safari, and to fix the bookmarks view? Thanks a lot.
Oh no !!
The safari bug came back !!
Please max fix that
Simply re-download the theme again and re-apply. Some of the metal resources were left out of Safari by accident, but Max fixed that immediately and then re-uploaded the new package.
Eric - this is the theme that I use the most, therefore I update it the most. I do plan on updating the themes you mention, but I want to finish NickelCobalt first. And it’s just all going so slow with a full time job. Hope you understand.
Thanx for your work. This really makes me happy to use. I see Apple going this way on their own in the future probably. Keep it up. I love to see updates to this site.
Then try to make this job to be your full time job
Max, these updates are great, but do you still have a copy of The Smoothstripes 4.5 installer? I have the 4.5 Guikit, but it doesn’t switch all the elements to Graphite, so I need the installer. (I’m not a big fan of The Tiger Glossy Menu bar.)
If this was his full time job, it wouldn’t be free.
Max,
Love your work! Would love to see you tackle a theme based on Apples new info windows. You seem to be the best when porting apples stuff, so I’m just making this friendly request. Not sure that transparency like this is available with ShapeShifter, but wow if it was.
What I’m reffering to in these images is the transparent black info boxes. They’ve very simple and very clean.

Hello Max, I’m a user of SmoothStripes 5.1.1 and I whenever I set iTunes to be mini or put it in shade mode I get awful looking widgets. They look too inset and totally whack. I’ve experienced this with every new AE and SS release. Please fix it. It’s only a matter of replacing the widgets. I hope.
I miss the square corners.
I thought that was what made it so unique!
But still a nice them
cool updates weeeeeeeeeeeeeee ok now max what about Brushed are you ever gonna update that my fav theme of all time
Great work!! I love this theme - definitely the best available.
This theme is so great - I mean, even Apple acknowledged it by using your glossy menu bar style in Tiger.
I only would have one small wish to come true: Use the glossy blue menu bar style, like the one in the theme changer version.
Sorry that so many comments get stalled in my spam filter. I had 900 (!!!) comments waiting for approval, 10 of them were real comments.
Allan Nyholm Nielsen - The problem with the itunes window widgets has to do with me using a beta when generating the theme. The bug will go away when a new version of ShapeShifter is released.
Colin - I will not update Brushed, but I’m willing to let someone else take it over.
giffut - it’s an interesting idea, not sure if I will act on it though.
Ryan Hilton - I’m afraid I don’t keep older versions, so I can’t help you..
Neil - Transparency does not work well in themes, so that theme idea would not turn out well.
Hey max,
pls update milk! i know you are busy with your work but please try releasing an update of my fav theme.
Regards
Hi Max. Happy belated birthday. Just wanted to say its great to see you theming again after a bit of a break. I wanted to let you know how much I am looking foward to a Milk update. It may sound stupid, but Milk I am so used to Milk now, I can’t use my machine without it. The standard Tiger theme just looks awful in comparison. Personally I think you should start charging for your themes, which would hopefully be more of a reward for the time you put in, and more of an incentive to keep updating. I know I would be happy to pay. Keep up the good work!
The download links don’t work
