04/03/2006 - SS/AE for 10.4.5 and iTunes 6.0.4

Yet an other time I had to update the SS and AE package, now at version 5.1.2 and 3.1.2.

SmoothStripes 5.1.2 & Aqua Extreme 3.1.2
• Compatible with 10.4.5 and iTunes 6.0.4
• Moves the small round button down one pixel to better align with glyphs being overlayed on it (check Mail.apps Smart Mailbox dialog for a good example).

Aqua Extreme for Mac OS X 10.4:
Aqua Extreme 3.1.2 [1,9 MB]
Aqua Extreme 3.1.2 [7 MB]

SmoothStripes for Mac OS X 10.4:
SmoothStripes 5.1.2 [1,9 MB]
SmoothStripes 5.1.2 [7 MB]

Is it possible for the DVD Player controller to be themed on the package installers? The window itself matches the new AA/SS metal, but the controller is brushed.

You are the best Max! The savior of brushed metal and stripes haters!

On the Intel-based Macs, this works only on Rosetta-emulated applications. Native Intel (Universal) apps still have the basic OS X Aqua look…

Great update Max :)

Sounds great!

Any possibilty on an update for the gorgeous Aluminum Alloy? :)

I don’t like the smooth metal look any chance of getting the regular look back with all the refinements?

Weili - I might have something for you sooner than you think..

Dylan - not from me. You could request a mod @ http://www.macthemesforums.net/

Matt - I don’t think a package installer can affect the DVD player. It can be themed trough shapeshifter though, but it’s not. I never play dvds on the comp personally so I never see the remote..

Krystof Vasa - I’m afraid I can’t help any Intel users as of yet. You’ll sooner see an Intel compatible version of shapeshifter than you will the package installer, I think.

Any chance to see all aqua windows with unified toolbar and titlebar in the next release ? Pleaaase Max :)

Hi. It’s me again with Intel-related question. The developer of UNO (a theme for MacOS X) has released a Universal Binary version of his theme. He includes his own installer with the theme. Maybe it would be helpful if you asked him about where are the files with Intel GUI graphics…

Thanks!

Krystof - UNO doesn’t change all the graphics AE and SS do. All UNO changes is the window texture and a few miscellaneous graphics.

I too would love an Intel version but it looks like we’ll just have to wait for a universal Shapeshifter.

I’m really missing those titlebar widgets on my MacBook :(

PS pleaaase keep the normal aqua windows as they are. Unified is only for Spotlight enabled apps.
